Program Overview:
The program focuses on the theory, research and applications related to the field of educational technology and is intended to help individuals:
- use instructional technology (computers, telecommunications and related technologies) as resources for the delivery of instruction
- serve as facilitators or directors of instructional technology in educational settings and/or be developers of instructional programs and materials for new technologies
- design instructional materials in a variety of media
Getting Started
To participate in the Online M. Ed. in Educational Technology program, you must apply to and be accepted by UT Brownsville. Criteria, procedures and deadlines for admission are the same as the traditional residence program.
Please look at the UTB Calendar for a schedule of admissions and registration deadlines. You will receive written confirmation from UT Brownsville that you have been admitted to the university within two to three weeks. Transferring credits to UTB/TSC is available for incoming Educational Technology students. The limit for transfer credit is 12 hours of appropriate graduate credit.
